Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor, a legendary member of the Bangladesh Awami League, was born in the Chattogram Upazila in Chattogram District on February 2, 1974. Four brothers and four sisters make up his extended family. He obtained his H.S.C. from Omargani Muslim Education Society (M.E.S.) College in 1993 after completing his S.S.C. at Municipal Model High School in 1991. He upheld Bangabandhu’s ideas, and in 1988 he was chosen to serve as the general secretary of the Nandankanan Union Chhatra League. He was chosen to serve as the G-S of the Omar Gani MES College, Bishaw Vidyalaya College, and Chhatra Sansad in 1997. In 2003, he was chosen to serve as the Awami Jubo League’s deputy finance secretary.
Helal Akbar Chowdhury is not any fictional character, he exists in real life. A man who is serving the nation selflessly, he started working for the nation right after joining politics. He took part in numerous protests against corruption and dictatorship. When the anti-tyranny Ershad movement was started in 1989 under the supervision of experienced leader ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury and other senior leaders, Helal Chowdhury Akbar spearheaded the campaign on the streets.
Besides all his contributions to politics, Helal Akbar Chowdhury received all the respect and gratitude of the nation for his marvelous life-saving invention “The Corona Resistance booth.” During the time of the Corona outbreak, he invented this method to aware and assist people in that dire time. This booth helped ordinary people in numerous ways. The whole world was clueless about the new virus, in a time when prevention was the only way to save people, countries required educating people and it was challenging to spread awareness among rural people. So, that was the time when this Corona Resistance Booth worked like magic. The booths first were launched around many places in Dhaka city on the last of May then Gradually with the help of the Information and Technology Ministry of Bangladesh these booths were launched in different places of the city to help the ordinary citizens. To combat this worldwide disease, Babar stated that “everyone should be on the side of the ordinary people to prevent the disease.”
Helal Chowdhury Babor is not only a pride of the Bangladesh Awami League but also the whole nation. During the Covid 19 era, his altruistic innovation enabled many common people to fight. Critics claim that his design serves as an excellent model for the rest of the globe in terms of raising awareness of the virus.
