Welcome to MyUW! This is your online home for accessing all of the resources and services available at the University of Washington. Whether you’re looking for information on studying abroad, registering for classes, or just need to get in touch with us, we’ve got you covered. We hope you find everything you need here and continue to explore our site!

How to Register for MyUW

To register for classes at MyUW, go to myuw.com and sign in with your student email and password. On the left side of the screen, click on “Classes.” Under “Classes,” select your major and then click on “Register.” In the “Registration Options” window that opens, you will need to provide your name, email address, major, class start date and time, course number(s), ID number(s) if applicable, permit number if applicable (if you are a commuter student), and payment information. You can also choose to pay by credit card or check.

Please note: If you are a first-time student who is registering for the first time, you will need to create an account at myuw.com before registering for classes.

After completing the registration process on myuw.com, please print out your confirmation certificate and bring it with you to MyUW when you arrive on campus each day during the registration period.

Important Dates: First Day of Classes: August 24

Last Day of Classes: December 15

What is MyUW?

MyUW is a website that provides users with easy access to their student records, registration information, and more. Registered MyUW users can:

  • View their current account information
  • Update their contact information
  • Submit course requests
  • Access transcripts and degree audits
  • View financial aid information
  • Learn about campus resources

How do I use MyUW?

If you are a new student, first time visitor, or returning student and have not yet registered with MyUW, now is the time to do so. Registration is quick and easy and there are many benefits to registering with MyUWs.

To register with MyUW:

  • Go to myuw.washington.edu and click on the “Registration” tab on the left hand side of the homepage
  • Enter your UW ID number (found on your UW transcript) in the “Username” field and your chosen password in the “Password” field
  • Click on the “Register Now” button
  • You will be prompted to provide additional contact information (such as an email address) if you want MyUW to send you important registration updates or notifications. After filling out all of your information, click on the “Register Now” button again to complete your registration. You will now be able to access all of the features of MyUW!

Login Process

The login process for MyUW is simple. After you’ve created an account, you’ll need to enter your login information in order to access your MyUW’s page. This page will let you view your account information, add classes, and manage your transcripts. You can also use this page to request transcripts or add class schedules. When you’re ready to start using MyUWs, enter your password in the login box and hit the log in button.

MyUW Users

If you are a MyUW user, your login information is already saved in your account. To continue using MyUW, just enter your username and password below. If you have forgotten your username or password, please contact the IT Help Desk at help@uw.edu.

If you are not a MyUW’s user, you can create an account by clicking the “Create an Account” link below. After creating your account, you will be able to browse and access all of the features of MyUWs.

Course Management

In order to efficiently manage your course, MyUW provides a registration guide. This guide includes important information on how to register for courses, including the following:

  1. Choose the right course type
  2. Select the course schedule that best suits your needs
  3. Register for classes online
  4. Print and complete the necessary forms
  5. Review your registration status
  6. Make changes or corrections to your registration details

Library Resources

If you’re looking for some help with registering for classes or other activities on campus, the University of Washington Libraries have compiled a guide to help. The guide includes information about how to register for classes, track your academic progress, and more. You can access the guide online or in the Library’s print resources.

To get started, first create an account (if you don’t already have one) in MyUW. Next, use the search bar at the top of the page to find what you’re looking for. For example, if you’re registering for classes, type ” Registration ” into the search bar and click on the “Classes” tab. The guide will be listed under “Library Resources” on that page.

If you need help finding something specific in our print resources, our Reference Desk staff can point you in the right direction. They are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and can also answer any questions about using our library resources.

Campus Maps and Directions

Registering for classes at MyUW can be a daunting task, but with the help of our online guide, registration will be a breeze. This online guide offers easy-to-follow instructions on registering for classes, finding your campus, and navigating around campus.

To begin your registration process, log in to MyUW and click on “Registration.” You will then be taken to our registration guide. From here you can:

View your current course schedule andadd or drop courses without losing anything you have already done in theclassroom;

Find out important information about each of our campuses; and

Get directions to all of our campuses from anywhere in the United States!

Contact Us

If you are a current student at the University of Washington, or if you have recently graduated, you may be eligible to receive free and discounted access to many of UW’s services through MyUW. MyUW is UW’s online portal where students can manage their academic and campus notices, register for classes, and find information about campus resources.

To use MyUW, you will need your current UW ID number and password. You can also create a new account if you do not have an existing one. Once you have registered for MyUW, there are a variety of ways to access it:

  • Visit myuw.washington.edu on any computer with internet access
  • Download the myuw app for iPhone or Android phones
  • Use the myuw website’s RSS feed to subscribe to updates from MyUW’s main pages
  • Follow @MyUW on Twitter
