Bright Choices: Navigating the Market for Premium LED Channels

LED strip channels are increasingly being purchased and opted for by lighting professionals and DIYers alike for use in strip light design and installation. This is in step with the increasing popularity of LED strip lights for use in residential, commercial, and public buildings.

LED light strip channels not only improve the practicality of light diffusion for LED strip lighting, but also enhance its visual appeal by providing a sleek and polished appearance.

LED strip channels (also known as LED aluminium channels, LED light strip diffusers, and simply LED light channels) are widely available and have many uses today.

The ins and outs of an LED channel

LED channels for sale typically feature a channel body, light diffuser, end caps, and mounting brackets. The anodized aluminium channel body is sturdy and long-lasting. PC or PMMA is used to make the light diffuser. Metal or plastic PC can be used for the mounting brackets and end caps.

Using LED channels to affect light diffusion

One of the primary reasons for purchasing and using an LED light strip channel is to provide better light diffusion or dotless lighting.

The lens, which is the cover diffuser that frequently comes with the LED aluminium channel, has the greatest effect on light diffusion. It is the lens that allows light to travel through, blocking or easing light dots and improving light diffusion.

Clear, frosted, and opaque LED strip channel covers are the most common. Their primary distinction is in visible light transmittance.

Visible light transmittance (VLT) is reported as a percentage and is a measurement of the amount of visible lighting that travels through the LED channel cover.

Common uses for strip lighting with LED channels

Because of its adaptability, strip lighting has been increasingly popular in recent years. The following is a list of common applications for strip lighting with LED channels for sale:

Choosing the right LED channel for your needs

Choose a medium or large aluminium channel for major lighting or task lighting. Large and medium-sized profiles feature a larger light-emitting surface and may accommodate one or more light strips side by side, resulting in increased brightness.

Kitchen cabinet lighting often employs narrow LED channels, as do under counter and kitchen island lights. For ceiling LED strip lighting, select medium or large channels. Stair steps are often tiny in size.

Aluminium channels are available in a variety of lengths. Most LED channels are primarily 46 inches (1.17 metres) and 78.74 inches (2 metres) in length. They are useful for do-it-yourself projects. The aluminium channels are simply adjustable in length.

They can also be trimmed 45 degrees and joined together to form a 90 degree corner turn. Depending on the needs of the project, you can get those with shorter cutting times. It can also be connected for a greater distance by positioning it next to each other.
